History
Cirencester's famous High Goal Trophy - The Warwickshire Cup is 110 years old this summer. It was originally presented in 1894 to The Pre 1914 - 1918 Warwickshire Polo Club by "a few of the inhabitants of Leamington Spa and neighbourhood" for annual competition.

During the 1945 - 1949 War the Cup was held for safekeeping by the Hurlingham Polo Association.
In 1960 the Cup was loaned to Cirencester for an early round match of the Cowdray Park Gold Cup. This was developed into a separate tournament in 1971.
